HL7 Messaging Symposia

Colorado State University, in collaboration with the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN), is hosting a series of HL7 Messaging Symposia – a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gather subject matter experts, laboratory personnel, LIMS representatives, and other users for hands-on training in HL7 messaging.

The goal of the symposia is to emphasize the importance of accurate data capture and dissemination and train participants on HL7 messaging standards for optimal communication across veterinary diagnostic laboratories. It is our priority to ensure those involved in messaging understand the importance of their role in effective data integration to drive data-informed decisions to support the mission of the NAHLN.

The symposia will include three components:

  1. Kick-off Symposium: Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, IL September 3-4, 2025, with travel days on September 2nd and 5th
  2. Virtual Breakout Sessions: January 2026
  3. Final Symposium: Kona Kai San Diego Resort in San Diego, CA March 4-5, 2026, with travel days March 3rd and 6th
